SAFETY GUIDE
Lithium-Ion Cells (Batteries) can be dangerous if misused or mistreated. Accidents, although rare - are usually a result of user error and can easily be avoided by following the guidelines below.
DO NOT KEEP CELLS LOOSE IN YOUR POCKET
Lithium cells should never be kept loose in your pocket, or purse etc. We provide a free case with all of your orders. If a battery is not in the device or charger, then it should be kept in the case.
DO NOT USE CELLS IF PVC WRAPS ARE DAMAGED
The PVC wrap protects your positive and negative terminal. Joining these two together with a metallic object creates a short. This will cause the cell to heat up and enter into what is known as 'thermal runaway'. If you notice any damage to your PVC wrap, please stop using the cell and dispose of or re-wrap immediately. Regularly inspect the condition of your wraps.
USE A CHARGER RATED FOR LITHIUM CELLS
Your charger should be rated for the type of cell that you are charging. If it is not, it may try to over-charge the cell - causing heat. Most modern chargers have built-in protection. We have found XTAR chargers to offer the most protection and stock them exclusively.
